“We can’t help everyone, but everyone can help someone.”
At the El Theos Centre, every donation is a seed planted in the future of a child who has known only the uncertainty of the street or the burden of poverty. Your support allows us to maintain our “Home for Everyone,” providing the professional care, nutrition, and education needed to turn a life of crisis into a life of purpose.
We believe in complete transparency and strategic impact. Here is how your contributions are put to work across our three core pillars:
Hunger is the first barrier we break.
Daily Meals: We serve over 140 meals a day. Your gift ensures that children like Junior, Marcus, and Jolene never have to worry about where their next meal is coming from.
Food Parcels: We support families in crisis, having distributed 360 parcels in our last major reporting period to strengthen the homes behind the children.
Winter Warmth: Donations fund the purchase of raincoats for school and the materials for the 40+ handmade blankets we distribute to keep children warm during the Western Cape winters.
We don’t just enroll children in school; we equip them to succeed.
School Readiness: A donation of R500 can provide a complete school kit, including a brand-new uniform, shoes, and a bag full of stationery.
Vocational Training: Your support funds the wood, fabric, and tools used in our carpentry and sewing workshops, giving older youth a trade they can use for life.
Rehabilitation Support: For children facing complex trauma or substance abuse, we invest R2,500 per month into specialized, year-long rehabilitation programs.
One-time or monthly recurring donations are the most flexible way to support our mission.

We are always in need of high-quality goods to support our Drop-In Centre and ECD program:
Non-perishable food items (Rice, maize meal, canned goods, oil).
School supplies (Stationery, backpacks, school shoes).
Workshop materials (Timber for carpentry, fabric/thread for sewing).
Household items (Cleaning supplies, blankets, kitchenware).
In 2022, your support meant that 75 children passed their school year with a 0% failure rate. In 2024, it meant four more children were taken off the streets and returned to the classroom.
Your donation is more than a transaction—it is a lifeline.
